Nabsys seeks Field App Scientist (East Coast) wanted for OhmX genome mapping customer support. Requires MS/PhD & 4+ yrs genomics exp. 50% travel.

Reporting to the Director of Field Applications, the Field Applications Scientist will be responsible for supporting sales and ensuring that customers are trained, supported, and guided to use our products effectively for their application needs. This role focuses exclusively on our newly launched electronic genome mapping (EGM) instrument (OhmX™) and its accompanying analytics software. You will play a key role in educating customers, driving adoption, and contributing to the evolution of genomic analysis.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an Application Scientist in genomics or related technologies, along with a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.   • Master the EGM workflow and become an expert user of the OhmX system
  • Engage with new and existing customers to educate and support the end-to-end workflow for EGM
  • Trouble shoot customer issues when needed and maintain detail records in the company’s CRM
  • Support and/or lead the closure of customer case reports
  • Provide customer feedback to internal teams (voice of customer) to inform product development
  • Conduct pre-sales scientific seminars supporting instrument sales or partnerships with Nabsys core labs
  • In post-sales environments, train new customers, assist in project design, and foster product adoption and revenue-generating consultative opportunities
  • Perform installations of new instruments and hands on workflow training at customer sites
  • Partner with clients to increase product adoption and usage through strategic scientific support
  • Work closely with product management and marketing to position and promote EGM applications
  • Maintain accurate customer interaction records in CRM software (Salesforce.com)
  • Represent Nabsys through scientific presentations at tradeshows, workshops, and sponsored seminars
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes and materials, ensuring a world-class customer experience
  • Full time position located on the East Coast with 50% travel to support customers both domestic and international
  • MS or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Cell Biology, or a related field
  • 4+ years of hands-on molecular biology experience, including nucleic acid extraction and sequencing library preparation; experience with high molecular weight DNA isolation and handling is preferred
  • 4+ years working as an Applications Scientist in the genomics tools space
  • Proven ability to support the development and release of application briefs, technical notes, and case studies
  • Experience and/or ability to work with principal investigator-level scientists, bioinformaticians, and lab personnel
  • Strong knowledge of genomic sequencing technologies and bioinformatics pipelines
  • Hands on experience with long-read NGS, FISH, microarray, karyotyping, and/or genome mapping is a plus
  • Experience with laboratory-developed tests and CLIA environments is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of scientific contributions through publications
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the US, with additional time spent at our Providence, RI lab and occasional trips to San Diego, CA
  • Resident near major airport
