Electronic Genome Mapping for Structural Variant Detection: Implications for Advancing Clinical Research in Heme Malignancies
Hear from thought leaders on how Electronic Genome Mapping (EGM) is advancing structural variant and copy number analysis in hematologic malignancy research.
Dr. Ravi Kolhe of Augusta University will present findings demonstrating high concordance with karyotyping, FISH, and optical genome mapping, highlighting EGM’s potential to complement the cytogenetic toolkit.
Dr. Rashmi Kanagal-Shamanna of MD Anderson Cancer Center will share EGM findings from paired bone marrow aspirate and peripheral blood samples in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), discussing variant concordance, turnaround time, and workflow considerations that could inform future evaluation of less invasive sampling approaches.
