Webinar summary:
‍
Comprehensive evaluation of heme malignancies relies on a combination of molecular and conventional cytogenetic approaches to identify sequence variants, copy number variants (CNVs), and structural variants (SVs), each with its own limitations.

Dr. Kolhe’s laboratory at Augusta University has an established research program in genome mapping for hematologic malignancies. In a recent proof-of-principle study, his team ran previously characterized hematological maligancy samples on the Nabsys OhmX™ Platform and they compared electronic genome mapping (EGM) results with karyotyping, FISH, and optical genome mapping (OGM).

In this webinar, Dr. Kolhe will discuss:

  • Role of structural variation in heme malignancies
  • Performance evaluation of EGM compared with karyotyping, FISH, and OGM
  • Practical considerations for evaluating and implementing EGM in a cytogenomics research laboratory

‍

Who should attend:
‍
Cytogeneticists, laboratory directors, molecular pathologists, laboratory technologiests, and hematologic malignancy researchers who use karyotyping, FISH, microarrays, or OGM.

A live Q&A will follow the presentation.

‍About the speaker:
Dr. Kolhe is a pioneer in evaluating and implementing novel and disruptive technologies for clinical and translational research at Augusta University. His laboratory has published extensively on using genome mapping as a first-line approach in hematologic malignancies. His work spans using genome mapping methods for both constitutional disorders and hematologic malignancy research.

The OhmX Platform is For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
