At Nabsys, our technology is powered by innovation, but our innovation is powered by people. Our Nabster Heroes highlight teammates whose drive, curiosity, and commitment help move our mission forward.
This month, we’re celebrating Kally Morozin, an engineer on the detector development team and a dedicated marathoner. She recently completed the Boston Marathon, her fourth overall, finishing in 3:27. Her next goals are to break her personal record of 3:20, and to complete all seven World Major Marathons: Boston, New York, Chicago, London, Berlin, Sydney, and Tokyo.

Finding Motivation in Motion
When asked what motivates her in both marathon running and her work on the detector development team, Kally shared:
Her perspective reflects something we see across Nabsys. Progress often comes from consistent effort, thoughtful problem-solving, and a willingness to push a little further each day. Whether she is logging miles or refining detector performance, Kally brings the same focus and sense of purpose to both.
Chasing Big Goals and Learning From the Journey
Training for a marathon requires long-term planning, resilience, and steady commitment. So does developing instruments that deliver high efficiency and throughput. When we asked what lessons from marathon training shape her approach to complex work at Nabsys, Kally told us:
Her reflections highlight the similarities between preparing for a race and working through multi-stage R&D challenges. Both require patience, adaptability, and an ability to celebrate incremental improvements while keeping the larger goal in sight.
Purpose That Drives Performance
Kally’s work supports the precision and reliability at the core of the OhmX™ Platform. When asked what she finds most rewarding about her role, she shared:
Her sense of purpose is part of what makes her a Nabster Hero. The same determination that helps her train for her next marathon also shapes her contributions to detector development and the impact our technology can have for researchers.
A Hero in Motion
Whether she is tackling a long training run or solving a challenging engineering problem, Kally brings steady determination and a commitment to progress. We’re proud to recognize her as this month’s Nabster Hero and look forward to cheering her on, both in future races and in the work she continues to drive at Nabsys.
